Powerpuff Girls adapted to anime, anime adapted to minigames
This news manages to be both supremely weird and completely banal at the same time. It's interesting conceptually, but mechanically, it's another licensed minigame set. Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z is the made-for-Japan adaptation of the Cartoon Network show, which was itself inspired by anime. And just like you would expect for any anime, or, for that matter, anything popular in Japan (see also: food and walking) Powerpuff Girls Z is getting its own DS game. This has to be the most derivative game ever in terms of source material-- just surpassing the game adaptation of Street Fighter: The Movie.

I'm somewhat ashamed to say that I'm already fairly familiar with this show. I'll tell you right now, it's one of the worst show ideas ever conceived and executed. The video podcast Track-Shun did a fine piece on it, where you can see a large amount of the pilot episode and judge for yourself (the host doesn't have much of a screen presence, but he's pretty good at the anime review scene):

But yeah. Plain awful. I don't foresee a game based on an already shaky license as being any damn good.

Next,we need Spaceballs: The Flamethrower: The Simulator for Wii, but it's an emulation of a Jaguar game that's a remake of a Odyssey^2

No it's Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money. I liked the Powerpuff Girls since they were first aired on Cartoon Network. They became totally alien and cliche when forced into anime.

Those powerpuff girls look so,,,, foreign.
