DS Daily: Is this an owner or renter's handheld?

Hanheld games are cheaper than console and PC games, which is something we previously addressed, but we're wondering if anything tips the scales, for you, into the region of ownership or into that of Renter's Land, a dangerous desert that is full of vagabonds and cannibals who snatch up lost and lonely games, only to use them, abuse them and later discard them like so much trash. We're wondering if the price, or nature of playing games on a handheld device, coerce you into one camp or the other?So, let us know how you think about this. Are you one who rents or just loves to trade in their DS games? Or do you have a massive collection accrued somewhere within your domicile (or hidden bunker complex somewhere)? Do you purchase, but wait for the price of games to go down before doing so? Do you use GameFly or rent from the local Blockbuster?

I buy all of my games, some new, and some from eBay. Certain games I buy knowing that I will sell them on eBay when I have completed them, mostly RPGs and Adventure games, so in a way, I am renting them.
For other titles, I couldn't imagine not keeping them, like Jam Sessions, Mario Kart, Meteos, and Osu! Tatake! Ouendan. Those are the type of games you can pick up and play anytime for a quick thrill.

Buy only. I haven't rented a game (for any system handheld or console) in years.

rent (thru GameFly, which is awesome) or buy, preferably used. actually, i tend to buy most DS games, just 'cause they're so much more affordable.

$35 is still $35. I've been renting DS games. I got burn on EBA which I didn't really like (though I even-traded it for NSMB).

Buy, buy, buy. I don't like to rent because: 1/ there are not that many companies renting DS games in the UK. 2/I'm very particular when it comes to games. I will only buy games I'm sure to like.
I don't sell back my games, but I do wait sometimes for the price to go down before buying a game. And I shop around a lot. For example, today I bought Electroplankton at ChoicesUK.com and Puzzle Quest at HMV.co.uk. Both for 17.98.

Has anyone seen a brick-and-mortar place that actually rents out DS games? I haven't seen a single one -- the usuals like Blockbuster and Hollywood barely have games at all anymore.

I borrow my DS games from friends. Most of the games just don't seem worth the $35 - $30 to me.

I'll only buy games that I'll play for a long time (Pokemon, etc.). Other than that, Gamefly 100%.

Buy only. I have around 27 DS games currently. I like to have the option of replaying a game whenever I feel like it. There's something satisfying about always being able to whip out Cooking Mama or Mario Kart for a quick fix.

Last time I've rented a game was Pokemon Stadium for the N64 D:. I'm not big on renting or reselling games. Since I'm a pack-rat.
