Wii Warm Up: On the new VC features

So, not sure if you guys noticed, but overnight Nintendo updated the Virtual Console, adding something that a lot of us have been clamoring for: realistic glitches. We personally were a little turned off by the eerie perfection of the VC, and we're glad Nintendo addressed our concern by adding random graphical errors and occasional blinking screens. It's a much more authentic experience if we have to turn the console on and off a bunch of times, and clean it out with alcohol before playing.
This should go very nicely with the announced wireless NES Max. We've got ours preordered! What about you all?

I don't want random screen flashes during my games.

wow thats not even a good April Fools joke. I was just confused the whole time as to why they thought this would tick people. And how would they know there was random screen flashes. Could have done this one a lot better. Sorry.

Man, I wish.
Bounce the cartridge up and down a bunch of times, lick your finger, rub it back and forth on the little groove on the front of the cartridge, bounce up and down a few more times, push down close lid and press power all at once, and you're good to go!

Hopefully they'll release a Wii Remote microphone attachment so we can virtually "blow" into the faulty cartridge in an attempt to get the gaming back on track! Thank you Nintendo!

Don't use glue. My SMB/DH cartridge never forgave me.

My copy of Super Mario 3 would freeze at the curtain screen every once in a while :)

I was hoping for the power glove, but I ordered four Max controllers for the original Smash Brothers on NES (the only characters were Mario, Luigi, Jumpman, and DK -- playing Mario vs. Jumpman is confusing and always good for yucks).
The glitch thing is making me kinda mad, though, as I've had to carefully place and replace the internal memory, lest I get a blinking blue light power on the system. Sometimes, the light won't blink, but I only get a tan screen.

I want a wireless MAX. No joke. I loved that thing.

I know how to fix these glitches - just hold your Wii up to your face and blow into the disc slot a few times. Make sure you blow as hard as you can across the entire length of the disc slot.
LOL #7 Mario P., you beat me to it!
