Infinite Interactive gives us free crack at Puzzle Quest
With the release of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords today, the good folks behind the game have done something that many others have not: offered a free demo of their game online. That's right, the proposed puzzler with RPG mechanics is available to try online and after giving the game a whirl, we have to say that Infinite Interactive made the right move in letting people try the game online first. It really sold us on the blending of RPG aspects with puzzle gameplay. So what do you guys think? Did the demo sell the game to you or turn you away?

I have been playing the PC demo for the past day, and I'm hooked. But the worst thing about PQ is that the demo has my wife hooked. She played for three hours straight last night, and told me on several occasions "You have to get this for your DS". Guess that means I wont be playing it much (she will be hogging my ds).

I played the demo for a few hours yesterday and I generally liked it. The level 7 cap prevented me from really getting to explore much of the game, but I liked the game play. I went in with the normal Bejewelled mentality (quick play) and realized that you really need to think about each move and try to figure out how each removed block will effect the whole thing. The RPG elements add a nice twist, but I couldn't get into them much with the limited demo. Regardless, I'm buying it today if I can find a darn GameStop that has one.

good thing there is a multiplayer mode. guess it's time for your wife, to get here own DS.
I really dig the game. That's what I've been waiting for all my life (I guess). Puzzeling not only for highscores, but for a real purpose comes naturally. Great great stuff!

Sega did this a long time ago with Chu Chu Rocket...I don't think it was ever released on the PC, but they had a Flash demo before the game came out and I got hooked.

dude, this game is hard to find. none of my local stores have it in and amazon is already sold out on the initial quantity. i ended up ordering it online from gamestop, but i paid more than i should have. problem is, i don't want to wait until amazon gets them in and who knows when the game will show up locally. i just hope the demo was an accurate reflection of the game on DS.

Sold me in one day.
I walked into Best Buy last night and got a copy with no problem. They had about 4 copies in the case.
