Rumor: Namco to bring Sailor Moon to the Wii
Rumor has it that the Japanese anime from the 90's Sailor Moon could be getting a game on the Wii. This rumor comes from a game listing that originated at YesAsia, showing a release date of December 31st for Japan, with Namco set to publish. With no other information on the title, we're left to speculate on what exactly the game will include. And speculate we will! We imagine the Wiimote acting as Sailor Moon's wand, waving about like a total loon as we summon cosmic powers of unequalled strength. In battling foes (can you tell we never saw the show yet?), we will be thrust into many a battle, vanquishing foes and saving the land for all of time.
What do you imagine the game could be like?

Do yourselves a favor, don't watch that dreck
The only thing Sailor Moon is good for...
...is Hentai :)

This game would be kick-ass on the wii. i loved sailor moon(in a non homo way). and that henti comment is fucked up

I can't believe I'm saying this, but: Oh my god, I would totally buy that. With OR without 'H'.
Speaking of which...
Contrary to what most westerners believe, "hentai" is never used to refer to "porn" in actual Japanese. All it means is "pervert". If you're taking about pornographic content, you're talking about "H" (pronounced "ecchi").

Actually, I'm really hoping for a "Futari Wa Pretty Cure" game (no perverted intent). I played a GBA PreCure import and was incredibly impressed. Bring that game to the Wii in the States, and I'd be a very happy gamer.

@ abscissa
yes, i knew that
@ Manvir
to each his own, (i can't say anything, i liked Hamtaro, but Sailor Moon never clicked with me)

Hamtaro over Sailor Moon?
Them's fightin' words.

Man, I'm loving these comments. But Mr. Khan took the cake.

I loved Sailor Moon. Right there with Thundercats and DragonballZ

Hvnlysoldr reminds me of the good old days of Toonami...
Well, before DBZ dragged on far too long, that is.
Yeah, I'd totally get a Sailor Moon game if it came out in English (and was actually good, that is).

Why should we care? We dont live over there so we dont call it that.

Believe it or not, Sailor Moon introduced me to Anime... I remember when used to air it early when we had school and we had to get it video taped by our parents.
Those were the days when transforming took as long as one minute with unnecessary poses... and they turned naked in the process. It's a wonder why none of her enemies tried to attack her during the transformation process. And each of the sailor scouts had one attack each, with Sailor Moon's finishing move taking as long as one minute also.
And to think after this comment... I realize that the Japanese really like long and elaborate movie-like scenes... all for a *SINGLE* attack in both RPG's and Anime.
MAN, and I remember getting far into the anime (in japanese that is) and one episode leaving me hanging... Still don't know what happens after that one episode.
In any case, this would be a game to get just for kicks and nostalgia. Sailor Moon would be a good RPG with the magic/fantasy based attacks, but would be a horrible fighting game as I only remember Mars being able to do hand-to-hand combat. It should be a game with multiple endings... and the best ending... is a hentai scene with Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask ;).

Hey this reminds me of a post I made on NSider last summer.

Yay, Sailor Moon. I hated it on American television (when my little sister fell in love with it), but the minute I saw it with subtitles with its original language and music, I fell in love with it. (VEEEEERRRRY SLOOOOOOOOWWW character/plot development--dozens of episodes where nothing really happened--but quite funny and I like the friendships/relationships on the show and how they grow and change over time...and as a very distant consideration...yeah, I think they're kinda hot.)
Hopefully the Wii can do the show justice.
