Clone Wars may be coming to a handheld near you
LucasArts announced that they'll be bringing Genndy Tartakovsky's distinctive designs to "a handheld" for a game based on the animated series Clone Wars. This will be the first handheld game developed in-house by LucasArts. EA's Feargus Carroll, who boasts a record that spans everything from comedy to squad-based games, is set to helm the project. While we don't know that we'll be able to boast this title on the DS yet, as no platform has been announced, it just seems like a natural fit. We'll keep an eye on this developing story!

hm. now I feel like watching the DVDs. Say what you will about the "new" trilogy, the Clone Wars is the best thing that ever came of it. Oh, and Lego Stars was pretty good too, in spite of the source material =]

LucasArts has announced this? I couldn't find any corresponding press release on the LucasArts website.
If you're basing this blog post on the Develop magazine article then I'd like to know how that can be construed as an announcement from LucasArts. Michael French doesn't mention anything in the way of a source for his article.

Great news! But according to the CVG article, this game will NOT be based on the cartoon series that were animated by Genndy Tartakovsky and ran form 2003 to 2005. The game will rather look like the 2008 CG animated Clone Wars show that already was announced a while ago. Example: http://www.toschestation.nl/news/newsimages/clonewars3.jpg

Hopefully you guys will take this into accout when you're going to 'keep an eye on this developing story'.
