Splatterhouse does the Monster Mash onto US/EU Virtual Console

The Virtual Console is really starting to heat up! We can't believe it, but it looks like American and European fanboys are going to get a great game before Japan does: Namco's gory Turbografx-16 brawler Splatterhouse. This is definitely one of the three best games ever about a masked parapsychology major trapped in a haunted mansion and forced to destroy lots of disgusting monsters with a board, and it's coming sometime in March!

We're also getting Double Dungeons-- but as Turbografx-16 lovers, we're trying to put a positive spin on this news article, and would prefer to talk more about Splatterhouse.

What Turbografx-16 games are you waiting for? We're dying for Blazing Lazers and China Warrior ourselves.

Holy Crap! I've wanted to play this game for over a decade. I remember when I was a kid watching in awe as some other kid played this in an arcade. My turn never came up and by the time I returned, it was gone.

Please tell me this is the bloody non censored version!

Really? Splatterhouse? Great game? I really hated this game. I even beat it on the first try and I was so excited to play when it first came out. There was a Turbo Grafx 16 game though that i did love... I can't believe I forgot the name. It was a ninja game where you can jump extremely high and you had a weapon that spins... I know that's a vague description but I'm looking forward to when that comes to VC. I'll remember the name of it eventually.

i think silkylove already named it: Ninja Spirits. at least, that's the only good ninja game i remember off the turbografx 16.

Oh man Ninja Spirit. Ninja Spirit is AWESOME.

And Devil's Crush is one of the best games ever. I LOVE the Wii Fanboy Turbo crew.

Legendary Axe was constantly pitted against Golden Axe during the launch season. It kind of pales in comparison.

I still like it okay. It's got that same 'power charging bar' thing that the Valis games have.

wow, Ninja Spirit was probably hands down the best game ever for TG-16, i would certainly purchase that, splatterhouse, keith courage, and bloody wolf (did nobody else like this game?) again in a heartbeat!

#2 you are the MAN!!! Ninja Spirit was by far the GREATEST TG-16 games on the system!! Easily followed by Bloody Wolf!!! I can't wait for Splater House!!!
