Settlers DS to be EB/Gamestop exclusive
Some of us have been waiting for the DS release of The Settlers for quite a while! And for those of you who are, like us, eager for some PC-style RTS action on the go, then there's just one more hoop to jump through: Gamestop. According to this week's circular, the game is coming out on March 28th ... but as a Gamestop exclusive. We guess you could also go to EB if you wanted. The upside to a game being exclusive to one retailer is that you'll at least know where to go to find it. Think positive!
We hope that The Settlers turns out better than the last Gamestop-exclusive DS game.

It must apply only to North America, there is no Gamestop is the rest of the world. It would be marketing DISASTER to only have one retailer distribute it.

Ds games are one of the last cartridge-based game formats, meaning you can buy them used from just about anywhere and be relatively sure that they'll still work.
I haven't bought a DS game new since I bought my DS Lite last summer. I don't think I ever will again.
Meaning: I could care less if its an EB exclusive, I'll wait a 6 months and buy it off of ebay.

they have us, ca, au, dk, de, it, nz, no, es, se, ie, and gb as options for their store locater. I'm no doctor of geography, but I think at least one or eight of those is in europe. Unless they moved Europe, which is a possibility, I guess.
