Capcom shuts down Okami rumors (mostly)
Oh, those reliable industry insiders. They're always feeding the rumor mill. This time, they're teasing and taunting all the Okami fans. While the game would be extra fabulous when powered by the Wiimote, we're taking this rumor with a little salt, because Capcom has pretty much shut this one down before it even got out of the gate. "Officially we have no plans for Okami on Wii at this time. Research and development are always looking at possibilities but given Clover is now closed for business, I think it highly unlikely a Wii version would be possible," an unnamed Capcom UK rep told IGN. While this does leave a slim opening for "maybe," this isn't one we're gonna hold our breath for. While we'd play Okami on Wii until our fingers cramped, it's probably not going to happen.

This better not be true! I don't want to hear it! Okami is coming to the Wii!

Can anyone find some numbers and tell me exactly HOW poorly Okami did sales-wise?
Because you'd think, with everyone else trying to give failed PS2 games new life on the Wii, Capcom would be the first to try it (give that thier failed PS2 game is actually good, unlike, say, Driver Parallel Lines)

Well, there is two big things about this.... it could go either way really... you got the key words they used.... "..at this time" .. which almost seems put on purpose to confuse fans even more than before. The other thing is they did close 'Clover Studios' .. the makers of Okami (but that doesn't mean they lost the rights to the game and/or the people who worked on it.. but who knows)

Mr Kahn,
Okami sold roughly 200K.
Mean while Hanna Montana for the DS sold about 320K.

Such an incredible game could be experienced in such an awesomely creative new way...and it probably won't happen.
Doesn't make sense.

Bummer. It would be a great game to have on the Wii. They'd be nuts not to though, it would get a lot of great press.

What is this .... Hanna Montana ???
