Modder takes Wii, sticks into PC, attempts to sell it to you

Ebay user thef1ea has done something that is downright cool. In taking a Wii and fitting it into a PC tower, thef1ea has created a PC-Wii hybrid. Affectionately dubbed the Wiiputer by reader Dave, it allows one to game on both the PC and Wii with ease, through the use of a shared 19 inch widescreen monitor. Overall, it's an impressive package, however we lack the $1,300+ that thef1ea is asking for this rig and won't be bidding. Will you try and get your hands on this?
[Thanks Dave, great name!]

Not I
I'm to cautious. I'll stick to my Wii that I know is in working condition.

i wouldn't want my Wii in a PC case. Think about the heat. I'd just put my Wii on top of my Antec P180 case, connect to a TV tuner card w/ A/V inputs, and you're GTG.

Is he selling the NES controller too?

Looks cool and all, but I wouldn't want to take the risk of the heat damaging either the Wii or the computer. Besides, I seriously doubt that rig will compare to the one I'm on now.

At first it sounds cool, then you remember that the only thing that's really been done here is connecting the Wii and a PC to one screen and then putting them both in one box.
Easier solution: buy wii, buy pc, buy nice TV, buy graphics card with TV-out capability (plenty of choice there), connect all of above items in appropriate way
and no need to worry about the Wii/PC suffering under the cramped conditions of a single box

It looks rather ugly to me. The sideways mounted DVD drive can't be much good, the Wii is pretty much just stuck in with what appears to be very little modding, the PS2 ports he added should have been removed instead of left in to do nothing, RAID 0 for consumers is still rather useless(Double the risk of losing all your data if a drive fails), temperature might be an issue for both PC and Wii, and I'm surprised that he doesn't mention how the Wii hooks up.
Doesn't help that the pictures are rather shitty in quality either.

I would have nemed it the "WiiCii" but thats just me

I saw this one thing with like a DVD player and stuff, but a computer-wi hybrid? Sweeeeet....

No, and for many reasons:
1-It's ugly.
2-The Wii may warm up too much.
3-The monitor is too small to play Wii.
4-That way, your Wii will be far from the TV I want to play it with.
5-I consider it kind of stupid.
6-There's no benefit.
:)

Ask him to install AOL on it, and maybe your parent company will buy it for you!

He's not too bright either...

HT can also equal Hyper Transport, which is an AMD feature.
