PoP Wii moves demonstrated

The first footage for Prince of Persia: Rival Swords has finally been revealed, showcasing the exact Wiimote movements one will need to perform in order to make the Prince do the things he does oh so well. Actually, the presentation makes the proposed experience on the Wii look superior to the Prince's past treks.
As usual, the video has been embedded past the post break.

That was pretty sweet. But it sure as heck didn't look like Wii graphics.

I refuse to support Ubisoft's porting.

are those really the graphics? they looked amazing

So... most of the moves are performed by bobbing the remote & nunchuck up and down? I mean, it's hard to tell from the video, but it doesn't look all that interesting to me...
I'm especially worried since PoP is a precision-control game (as in if you hit the jump button a split-second to late, you fall to your death). With the wiimote being occasionally unresponsive to my gestures (or misinterpreting them), this game looks like it would be extremely fustrating.

And finally we begin to see the end of rushed for launch titles on the Wii. Hope there's more soon.

Oh, and as for the graphics... keep in mind this was a last-gen game, and the Wii can do graphics at *least* as good as the gamecube...

Does Ubisoft own all the PoP intellectual property now? They should release the classic PC or maybe even SNES version from way back when on the VC. I'd gobble that shit up in a second.

IT's good they are porting it, I mean don't you hate when they make a series you LOVE to a new console so you have to buy it? Yeah, well I bet we'll get the new Prince of Persia if there comes one but this will do.

Eh, it looks alright. Thought I'm disapointed that it's basicly a port with a new name...

This game was on the GameCube, what a joke. UbiSoft are flooding the Wii with lazy releases.

I'm going to withold judgment until I can play the game, which would mean crippling shortages would have to end; suffice it to say that this game appears as if it will play like crap and look like the others (I noticed the same stupid little problems in the engine for the originals.) Them recycling the old cut scenese directly insulted me. A new perspective? Remade stuff?
Honestly, this is shameful.
