We asked, you delivered: Wii baby
As promised, we went from grey gamers to serious gamers and have now arrived at the next hot new thing: the Wii baby. Training 'em young is what we're all about, and this baby is really working it. We've got the iSnuggle suit going on (in white, naturally), the hip updo -- tousled but not too messy -- and what's that we see? Flying without the wrist strap? Oh, baby, you're so bold! We're not sure if this precious young fanboy-in-the-rough belongs to tipster Tommy or not, but we hope so. This kid is obviously benefitting from the influence of a hardcore Nintendo fan in the home. We totally approve.
Another Wii baby appeared in the comments on the most recent portrait of a Wii gamer we put up, and he may be even cuter than this one, but infinitely more dangerous -- check after the jump to see why. And definitely keep sending us your favorite shots of Wii gamers in action.
Ack! Don't eat the Wiimote! We know Nintendo is both funky and fresh, but there's never a good reason to eat the peripherals. Just so no, awesome gamer baby. We recommend some nice, wiggly Jello.

The second one is fake... Obviously...

How is it obviously fake? You must not have kids, dude. They will put anything in their mouths. Fortunately mine are past that stage and will not get toothmarks on my shiny Wii.

Er... the dodgy cut and past together with a clear resolution difference between wiibaby and inserted jpeg make this a given.
I got a cracking action shot of my uncle in full bowling mode on xmas day, i'll put it through some tubes pronto

I don't think Zan was referring to the baby eating the remote being fake. I think he meant, it obviously looks like the photo has been manipulated - photoshopping in the wiimote. And I agree.
It may belegit, but the lighting and the jagged edges around the fingers seem to give it away as bogus.

While young children will definitely put everything they can in their mouths, the second photo (when viewed on flickr at full resolution) is obviously 'shopped. The bad dither on the bottom corners of the remote, the awkward angle of the kids fingers, and the differing clarity of the kid versus the remote all point to an inspired, well done fake.

The second picture is mine, and is indeed a 'shop. The baby was chewing on a spoon in the original photo.
Still cute, though. :)
