Wii Sports, now with tools

Now you can use tools when bashing friends, family, or furniture with your Wiimote. Oh, and make your Wii Sports experience a little more realistic, too, but surely that's secondary to the imminent destruction these bad boys are going to bring about. The above set seems like a bargain at $22 for a bat, racket, and club extension, but if you're sending a remote flying across the room, we hate to think of the damage these things could cause. Please remember to Wii with caution.

Sorry to say it, but this pack of third party accessories is so very old news. Especially when you're a poor Wii-depraved citizen of the UK and you've been scouring the net for anything Wii-related for months. I've had my console on order since the 19th September 2006 from Play.com :0( But back on subject, I think these add-ons might be fun for a special occasion, such as a big Wii Sports party or tournament. Otherwise, what a waste of perfectly good currency.

the racket and golf club face the wrong way for wii sports. if you check their site and look at the images you can see this. With this pack attached they expect you to have the "A" button side of the remote face the screen - this obviously wouldn't work in Wii Sports since it would throw all the sensors off.

I got very mixed feelings about these accessories. My son plays Monster 4x4 and it is a bit of pain to have to put the Wiimote into the steering wheel. it all the time. At the same time it now got some 'foam' (dont know the name of the plastic used for the steering wheel). Some complained about the steering wheel gets too heavy when playing, nothing we noticed here.
BUT does it add anything to the feeling of really playing the games ???
Right now I would be happy enough to get the racket as I dont play the other games.. But hell, I will probably end up getting them all.

it would work fine for tennis, but it would for sure mess up in golf.

At first blush, I think these are a great idea. I was playing Wii Sports for the first time at a friends house and it took me a while to figure out which direction the Wiimote should be held. Sure, with 30 seconds of instruction and playing you could figure it out, but an attachment like these would let you immediately know how to hold and swing the thing. Great for parties with first time players.

Now, if as an above poster says, the alignment isn't right: Then how stupid can you get? Make an attachment that tells you to play the game wrong???
