12 player multiplayer in WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Siliconera has uploaded a video explaining how twelve person multiplayer is going to work. First, everyone makes an angel, then the game randomly chooses an angel and makes them play a minigame. In full-on elimination style, the last angel standing comes out the victor. We've embedded Siliconera's video into the post, past the jump.

Don't you mean last angel flying, NOT Last angel standing. LOL

O.....K!? looks kinda fun but did anyone else want to commit hari-kiri after the 6th time that awful fanfare played?

Haha, that's great! I think I'm going to see if I can get a Wii here in Houston sometime soon. Seem like great party consoles.

Didnt anyone else notice how after the first round of minigames with the angels everyone just lost until it got to the last person...and the minigames that were lost didnt seem terribly hard and looked like no1 even tried...? makes me wonder if 12 people were actually playing at the same time.

Sooo....WarioWare meets Mario Party?

A mini game where you have to open a drawer or put in dentures is just lame.

I noticed that after some time the "players" quit playing. That is my opinion of this game. I can't see myself and 11 of my friends wanting to wait for each of us to finish their mini game just to we can have 5-8 seconds worth of fun. I was bored with it pretty much right after the video started, but tolerated the entire video so i can give a fair assessment. I can only speak for myself but I will not be spending my brain cells on this one. Also, am i the only one who noticed that the "player" that won only had to have everyone else get eliminated on their second try and didn't have to go a second time themself? This doesn't seem fair to me. They should have had to attempt to kill more brain cells as well before claiming victory. I do love the Wii and think its awesome since it went back to having fun and not spending the entire budget on a semi-interactive high definition movie with so many controls that I'd be better off using a keyboard and mouse. The Wii scored with the concept but failed with this game.

@billpull,
there probably were not 12 people playing at the time, but the video illustrated how it would work. If they went through a whole game it would take too long for what is supposed to be a demonstration.

It seems like after awhile they let the player lose to illustrate what winning was like. There probably wasn't 12 players playing.
It's interesting to see those Wiimote+Nunchuck minigames, though I would imagine flying a nose with the nunchuck would be much harder than flying a nose with the Wiimote.

Looks like great usage of the Miis. Can't wait.
And have the people speaking poorly of this game (already) ever played a WarioWare game before? BTW, I've played a demo of this game and putting teeth into an elderly woman is insanely fun. Amongst all the demos, this game had the biggest crowd around loving it.

Has anyone seen anything from Nintendo where it confirms up to 12 people playing? On the Wii site it says 2-5 multiplayer (see link here: http://wii.nintendo.com/software_warioware.jsp ). This isn't a mini-game where you just have to fly 12 angels?
erifneerg @ Dec 30th 2006 4:44PM
so i take it you Miis will be used in Warioware?

FFS. Does no-one remember the way this worked in the GCN version of WarioWare? I'm, unlike all of you, actually annoyed that it only supports a 12 player mode. Warioware GCN supported a 16 player mode. Oh well... at least this time they might give us a bigger player roster.

does this mean u can put 12 controllers to one wii?
