Japanese study shows increased demand in DS despite next-gen systems
Despite all the hubbub about these new consoles, the Japanese public has still grown in their desire for the DS. Given an increase in DS owners by almost 27% since last year, the handheld has managed to sway 6% more of the DS-lacking public into wanting one. This proves that despite all the high-tech wizardry that these new consoles are capable of, the great games and portability of Nintendo's DS is still valued highly by the Japanese public. This, of course, doesn't mean the same is destined for other territories. How about you, though? Now that the Wii is out, has your DS been neglected?

I love my DS and play it every day. I'm not even planning on getting a Wii anytime soon, at least until after I get an Xbox 360!
The DS still has a tight grip on my soul....and I don't think I want it to let go... :p

my ds was ignored at first but after awhile wii sports made my arm hurt
and yoshi's island ds sucked me right back in!
I played the wii non stop for a week then had to leave my house and there was my ds to entertain me on the subway and bus rides.

I've been playing my DS Lite tryng to beat my Metroid Prime Pinball Scores but it isn't as fun as playing GEARS OF WAR on my BEAUTIFUL NEW XBOX 360. So the DS is now my #2 system.

Nope. I play my DS if not more than my Wii. The Wii gets most of my attention while I'm at home, but if I'm out or in bed, it's nonstop Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime. I just started Contact last night, though, so that could become a new obsession.
