Red Steel 2 semi-confirmed

Sorta kinda maybe. Everyone's favorite overly-hyped-shooter-with-glitchy-aiming-mechanisms-and-unintuitive-combat seems to be gearing up for another go. Ubisoft's Paris division has posted a big digital "Help Wanted" ad on the internet, whose transcript shall be withheld to save the reader from silly BabelFish translation errors. In any case, it asks for a game designer for the "continuation of the Red Steel franchise". There is no direct confirmation that the sequel will be on the Wii, but come on. It's pretty damn obvious.
One must wonder if the world really wants this. If they can iron out the bugs, improve level design, and add more realistic melee combat, maybe they'll have a winner. If not, we'll always have Super Smash Bros. Brawl to fall back on, right?

Hahahah not even two weeks in! Aww man... hehe. *sigh*
I havent tried Red Steel but Ubisoft doesnt do stupid shit twice. Or do they. Nevertheless, I hope for Wii's sake that they learn from their mistakes.

I'm actually liking the game, contrary to what most are saying about it. It's a "love or hate" kinda game. I'm just hoping for 1:1 katana movements and the ability to jab with it. Some AA wouldn't hurt. And the ability to use the katana outside of katana only fights. It pisses me off that I can only use the katana in "sanctioned" (I'll just call it that) fights. Oh, and add more voice tracks to the enemies, it gets annoying to listen to them say the same thing over and over.
Other than that, it's a good game. Fun, at least in my opinion.

I, too, think it's a fun game. I wouldn't mind a sequel if they would clean up the controls quite a bit, remove and/or add different cut scenes and allow sword fighting throughout the game rather than in specified fights.
