The Sims moving to Wii
With the huge success of the Sims series, we aren't surprised to see it branching out to the latest consoles. While the Sims have taken on more adult themes, the upcoming Wii version looks like the game had a rough run-in with Animal Crossing. The characters and topics now resemble those found in games directed towards kids and adults who turn away from high graphics and violence.
The trailer shows characters flouncing about doing Animal Crossing-esque gestures with added facial expressions and sounds. While the trailer is void of controller use and character creation, a few screenshots give viewers a glimpse. As usual, our non-existent command of the Japanese language limits what we can gather from the site. Still, this title may be worth keeping up with.

Looks like they resurrected the concept, or at least the spirit, of Simville.

"Fix my-/your-self."
"Fix the town/street."
"Come explore."
The fourth text box is something about "my town/street". (Don't know what the second word is, sorry.)
Yeah. That's... basically useless. But there's rough translations nonetheless. And, yes, while childish, it does look as though it could be entertaining enough to keep up with.

Damn. It's made by EA. I know the Sims game was too... But Maxis had it's hand in it.
Now I'm a little weary of this game.

I really don't like the look of this game. Perhaps if the characters were Mii.
Wouldn't the Mii be a good character for Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

The graphics are cute, and it seems like there may be some kind of town-building aspect... "Machi o tsukuroo" roughly translated means Let's make a street, or something. I'm not really sure. My Japanese is a little sketchy. Actually, very sketchy. Anyway, I think I'd probably play it, but it's weird that they would slap the Sims name on it rather than market it as its own entity. Of course, I guess they're counting on the brand name. We'll just have to see if it makes it over stateside.
