South Park and the Wii

If you're one who enjoys their Wednesday nights in the form of watching South Park, perhaps sipping on a cup of hot Earl Grey, then you undoubtedly caught last night's episode featuring show staple Eric Cartman and his attempts to get his hands on the Wii. His desperation for the console -- something we know all too well here -- went so far that he attempted to freeze himself in order to instantaneously time travel to November 19th for the console's release.

Instead, things went wrong and Cartman found himself frozen for some 500+ odd years -- to a future where atheists were at war and somehow sea otters evolved to the point where they could talk and use assault rifles. Sadly, the episode is to-be-continued, so before we can see Cartman get his hands on a Wii -- which we assume will be next week's ending -- we're just going to have to wait.

$10 says the game device in the museum is a PS3.

"What the hell is this piece of crap?"

BEST-EPISODE-EVER!

I was laughing SO hard, because that is exactly how I feel about this whole thing. BUT...I do have patience, and will not try to freeze myself.

SO...did Nintendo pay for this, or do the South Park crew REALLY feel this way about the Wii?

Can't wait until next week to see where they are going with this.

no way nintendo paid for this, they talked about the 360 and the psp near their launches, they just know whats up

Nice epiosde, although it was mainly about this whole "Christs vs. Darwin" thing you Americans are so much about :P

I stand corrected...I do seem to remember Kenny playing some game on his PSP and becoming the saviour of something.

This is the fourth real system to be featured in South Park.
Sega Dreamcast - Tooth Fairy, PSP - Best Friends Forever, Xbox 360 - Tssst!, and now the Nintendo Wii.

I kind of have a feeling that Cartman is not really in the future, most likely a comma or something. Anyways this could drag out to be 3 episodes the final one in the trilogy will be were Cartman gets his Wii on launch day or doesn't because it's sold out.

"Pacing around is not gonna make the Wii come any faster" Best line in the show. Trey and Matt actually made fun of the name. lol.

Cartman's calendar had 10/29 marked for the preorder date. I have to commend those guys for being accurate in the little details!
