80 hours? oh sad that it sucks....
Anooon @ Oct 24th 2006 12:23PM
80 Hours is crazy.... That works out at about 1 and a half hours for every second of footage, no way did it actually take that long, its ridiculous.... But its a pretty kool video, not sure if it was worth all the hassle though...
Sethd85 @ Oct 24th 2006 12:28PM
That was great! I could see Nintendo using that and really fleshing it out, and adding a little more depth to it. Awesome video.
Ily @ Oct 24th 2006 12:29PM
sucks....? You about what?
Rob @ Oct 24th 2006 1:00PM
Still nothing to do with A-ha, other than the hand-drawn shaky looking part. The whole appeal of the A-ha video was the hand-rotoscoping on live footage.
That said, bravo to the creators on the effort and an entertaining video.

What do you mean this sucks? This animation was great. The person obviously made the choice to give it a rough playful feeling, as the amount of professional production was evident. So to everyone that just says "it sucks," stop being dicks and atleast explain why you think so. Animation is an art, therefore talk about it like art.
Sorry to go all crazy about, but I am a painter, and there is nothing worse than someone just saying "I like it," or "I don't like it."

Just to be clear, I was complimenting this Wii video, although I also like the A-ha video.

Nice work, I like how everything morphed and whatnot.
Very cool, I think it'd make a great commercial with a little more work.

Hey, Anoon? Let me know when you've actually done hand-drawn animation before and you let me know how you sped up the process past 90 minutes a second. That's actually remarkably fast, and certainly reasonable for his efforts considering that it's not in color, under 3 minutes, and seemed to have a good deal of flow to it with no bad jumps in the animation.
I would've done the drawing on a computer had I had the inclination since the whole scanning thing gets old fast, but hey, do what you gotta do.
Good luck and I hope you win dude.
