The "correct" Dead 'n' Furious trailer
Are you among the chosen few who laid eyes on the "leaked" footage earlier this year from Dead 'n' Furious? You remember that little debacle, with the hair-raising video. Oh, not hair-raising scary. It was just ... shall we say ... not so good? But Dream On Studio promised a "real" video later this year, and here it is. Tell us what you think. The video is nestled away after the jump. And here's a question -- if you're a convict and you pick up a buddy (via WiFi coop mode, which does sound like an awesome feature), just what exactly is your friend? A prison guard? Serial molester? Do you get to pick? These questions are totally valid ....

Looks like a cell phone game. The devs need to bump it up a notch.

Well, it does look a LITTLE better than the leaked footage we saw previous. The main character kind of looks like a lego guy though.

Hmmm... it does look crappy, but go back and watch it again and then ask yourself this: how many DS games have that many enemies onscreen at once? Obviously the DS can't handle this kind of game. Too bad.

As long as this game doesn't get repetitive (although I just know it's gonna be average.) and has perhaps a decent story to it, it might be a nice sleeper hit.

That game better get some Metroid Prime Hunters control schemes or else it will fail.

I dunno, I think I'd buy it. The DS is sorely lacinkg in zombie killin' action right now. Looks cool; I'm not picky on graphics.

could be worse! much worse. If it´s a game in the Houseofthedead league I´ll buy it!

Interesting that none of the clips really show the character moving...at all. (The one exception is the time when he appears to be using an on-rails cart thinger). Leads me to worry about how the game controls, if they won't actually show the character in motion.
It's amazing to me that, for its many triumphs and excellent titles, the DS has been out for two years now and yet has left its FPS and RTS potential almost entirely untapped. These are the genres the system seems to be custom-made for...and yet there is nothing of decent quality.

DaMad, you are right. When I first began to appreciate the DS the first thing I thought was, "this game would be sweet for FPS and party games".
Instead, Ninty seems to have a chubby for RPGs and the beloved quirky games.
Thank goodness they aren't doing this on the Wii.

if you go to the website it says that its made like the classic on-track type arcade games. instead of a light gun you just tap the stylus where you want to shoot, so yeah, you dont actually move the character. And when you need to reload you have to touch the ammo thing on the screen and drag it into your gun.... yeah im sure thats not going to be annoying when you have a bunch of zombies chewing your face off.. Its a shame this game is going to suck so bad, i would also like to see a good zombie game for the DS. Metroid Prime: Hunters controls for this game or STFU!

That actually sounds like a really interesting idea. Probably worth a try. I'm down for any zombie shooter.
