Wario Ware Twisted finally goes to Europe
Yes, that's right ... the GBA's Wario Ware Twisted, relesed in 2004 in Japan and 2005 in the US, is finally making its way (officially) to Europe. Is there anyone who wants this two year old game yet that hasn't already imported it? And likely for less than the price it's sure to have when it streets. The real story on the game's rather delayed EU release is somewhat mysterious. Everyone seems to have a different reason for the delay -- manufacturing issues, lack of interest in the European market, legal restrictions. Can you add to the pile of conspiracy theories? Tell us what you've heard.
Wario Ware Twisted is set to finally hit Europe in December.

Being from the UK may I just say: YEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!! I was starting to worry that this game would never come out over here.
I believe the cause for the massive delay was that the motion sensor contains mercury and there's some law or other in Europe that you can't sell products containing mercury. Hopefully and seemingly Nintendo have gotten around it.

That's a real game? I thought it was an urban legend that Americans and Japanese people made up to mock us...

Finally! I hope this game will boost the sold line so much that Nintnedo will regret that they took this game so long to come to us.

Hame -- that pretty much combines most of the theories I heard, so I guess it must be the case.

Well I heard that the game was so good that during manufacture all the "manufacturers", I hear thats what they're called, couldn't help but play it. Non stop. All the time. Finnally they've replaced all of these "manufacturers" with androids from the future created by, you've guessed it, Sony. This, of course, lead to more delays. Now their just getting Tingle look-a-likes to make them using his sparkly glitter powered magic.
That's my theory- and I have it on a good source too.

December!?! FFS..
:sigh: Aw well, better late than never.
No, scratch that. Better NOT 2 YEARS LATE!!

The delay is because Nintendo needs from time to time remind the European market that they're really second-class citizens.

So, that's one year and seven months to localise a game with almost no text whatsoever. That actually compares well to the two years and nine months it took them to localise Animal Crossing for the GameCube. Bizarrely it took them about a tenth as long to localise the DS version.
While we're on the subject, Metroid Prime Pinball still hasn't been released, having missed its June date, so there are about a half-dozen DS games on the market right now with rumble pack support, but no rumble pack on sale.
