TGS 2006: Heroes of Mana trailer excites

In the latest trailer for Heroes of Mana, a lot of cool animation and music whet our appetite, even if it is lacking in actual gameplay. We love RPGs on the go, and while we wait like crazed madmen for a certain last fantasy, we can still muster excitement over the latest Mana title to hit our shores. One question, however, we must ask: why do the characters all look like they're Padaung with the rings off?
As always, the video is embedded into the post, after the break.

Besides the lack of gameplay footage...it looks better than that piece of crap Children of Mana...but it still strays too far from the Secret of Mana we all grew up with.

Well.. actually, Children of Mana was ALOT like the old Secret of Mana game... and logically this things being VERY different.. will also not bring your memories flooding back...
CoM was just too BORING because they overkilled the dungeons etc and had a lame story/pacing...
When the Zelda DS game comes out, then a flood of imitators will be shown the way...
Is Nintendo the only company that playtests their games ... it seems that all other companies just want to port for the sake of porting... *yawn
