Resident Evil info coming next month

We now know that there is definitely a Resident Evil title planned for the Wii. It's just not Resident Evil 5, is all. Instead, evidence points toward a "Wiimake" of the original REmake on the GameCube. What evidence points to this, you say?
Well, the image above this post shows a rather large update on the game is planned for the September issue of this Japanese magazine. And who is that but Jill and Chris from the REmake? Coincidence, or merely there to fill the void of information on the title?

Please God don't let this be true. If PS3 gets Resident Evil 5 and we get ANOTHER re-release of the original Resident Evil, I really will be annoyed. Even a RE2 or RE3 remake would be preferrable, just not RE1 again (and again... and again)

I mean honestly Capcom.. Namco.. all you companys where your title does better on a Nintendo system .. and than you turn around next game and make it exclusive someplace else.. GET A FREAK'n CLUE!
Honestly, if it turns out to be a remake, or revisit, or even redoing the first one in RE4 format, I, and I hope everyone is going to follow behind and be very upset.
How many times are you going to try to re-release that game onto Nintendo consoles?

"Pikachu flavored outlet", eh? I would say all outlets are pretty much Pikachu flavored, in the sense that when licking either one you're likely to get an uncomfortable level of voltage in the face...

If this is true then it's an absolute disgrace.
Though as the post suggests, it may just be that without having any official artwork from the game, the magazine just used some generic Resident Evil images instead.

Nope, won't happen. They'd never release a Wiimake of a REmake and expect it to sell 1 million copies. Compare that to an almost guaranteed 2 - 4 million copies sold for an exclusive Resident Evil Wii in the vein of RE4, with remote capabilities. If the game has visuals somewhere between RE4 and RE5, plays like RE4, and has decent gameplay mechanics, it could be one of the top sellers on Wii.
My guess is that the magazine either needed to cover a lot of space and used the Chris/Jill pic to do so, or they know that the exclusive title contains those characters. I'm sorry David, I just don't see how a stock image is "evidence" that REmake is being Wiimade.

hows this:
Wii version visuals between GC and XBOX 360 as expected, you run around with nunchuck, and can swipe with knife at any point while running around.
hold one of the nunchuck buttons to enter the "aiming mode" of RE4, and proceed to use the wiimote to aim and shoot, using the A button to access the attache case. Grenadestrown with a throwing motion, with almost realistic physics with the way you throw and the trajectory of the grenade.
if a zombie/crazy villager/boss grabs you, shake both controllers, or the enemy can grab one or the other arm and you shake/ knife the enemy off.
does any body else liek the idea of a caribean island, with crazy cannibal villagers and a complex etc etc, im just slightly bored of grey outside areas, wooden shacks, degrading hospitals and mansions.
imagine a storyline where the villagers are following the whim of someone who they thing is a god :D

THIS BETTER NOT BE TRUE. One remake was enough, but remake number too? Of the same game? The graphics will be the same -- but the controll different? How about something BRAND new, eh? Otherwise no one will buy REWii and there for no REWii 2. :(

First, it cuold just be a picture from the Gamevube version, because of a lack of real screenshots. Second, if the screenshot is for the Wii version, it could be a direct sequal to Resi 1 with the same chacters, but differant story.
But if it is a ANOTHER remake, its ridiculous. Playstation1, Gamcube, DS, AND Wii? There may come a time where everyone expects a new REmake on EVERY SINGLE CONSOLE IN EXISTENSE. And so follows the Vidio Gaming crash of the 21st century...
