NIBRIS and Frontline to co-produce Sadness
In a move that totally shattered rumors of Majesco publishing Sadness for the Wii, NIBRIS and Frontline finally announced the publisher: both of them. That's right, earlier reports that the game had found a publisher were true, just not the one we thought. Aside from co-producing Sadness with NIBRIS, Frontline Studios developed the recently-released DS title Sudoku Mania and have worked with NIBRIS on other, smaller projects in the past. Interestingly enough, the announcement on Frontline Studios' webpage states that Sadness has a 16 month development cycle, giving us some kind of idea when we could be seeing the game at retail.

I am not really concern who the publisher is since NIBRIS is creating the game. I am just happy they have a publisher and that this game (which is shaping up to be a very good AAA title) is exclusive to the Wii.

"In a move that totally shattered rumors of Majesco publishing Sadness for the Wii..."
I'm pretty sure Nibris themselves shattered those rumors in July when they told IGN Majesco was not the publisher.
"The only comment we could get out of Nibris relating to this issue is that the publisher is neither Atlus nor Majesco (two companies heavily rumored to be publishing the game)."

Despite the fact that Nibris has someone else writing, creating the art, and programming that game, I'm still interested in seeing how it turns out.
Raid On the River looks good though, so I hope their publishing deal is for both games.

it would be nice to see some actual screenshots of this game...

@haegen,
They haven't really started development, so concept art is all they have. With their listed development schedule, this game won't be coming out till at least Holidays 2007, most likely Spring - Holidays 2008. With as open as they have been with art, I'm sure we'll see screenshots as soon as they are public-ready. But don't expect that to be until this time next year.
With that said, I think this game will be worth the wait. When I read about the concept of the game, I think of the best from Resident Evil and the best from Eternal Darkness, plus the motion control, and it make me estatic for this game. Make it a blockbuster, NIBRIS!
