Top 50 handheld games of the century

Next Gen went ahead and created a nice list of the top 50 handhelds games. The list includes games from the GBA, DS, and PSP. Now, the list is based on units sold, but isn't a bad gauge for ranking the inherent quality of the titles either. Many ~~Bothans died to bring us this information~~ DS and GBA games are on the list, with the PSP's represenation lacking. We could sit here and go over each and every game on the list, but we ~~don't want to~~ are way too busy bringing you the news your crave. Instead, we'll just list the top 5:

Pokemon Ruby - GBA - Nintendo
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World - GBA - Nintendo
Namco Museum - GBA - Namco
Mario Kart Super Circuit - GBA - Nintendo
Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog - GBA - Konami

You've got the list upside down, with 5th first and 1st last.

But these people i've never heard about obviously don't know what they're talking about if FROGGER made their 5th best.

They're talking about sales, RupeeClock. I'm going to assume that the people who made the list are able to determine if a number is larger than another number.

I was sorely disappointed by Namco Museum. I imagine one of the main factors in its success was the rapid drop to $9.99. Cheers to the Super Mario Advance series, though. That stuff is gold.

Super Circuit was an excellent game. It took everything from Super Mario Kart and added a whole lot more. I'm glad to see it did well.

It still seems incredibly messed up that Frogger would be the 5th best selling game, that just seems so wrong.

Of the century? Man, I sure love these grandiose titles. And people wonder why gaming journalism is inherently lame.

Just say the best-selling of the past 6 years or since 2000. The title implies people were playing handheld games since 1906.

Meh, is anyone really surprised by the top selling games here? I mean, look at the PC games top 10 selling lists. The freaking sims has been up there since it was first released. Which as a gamer, insults me. Not to mention the crappy barbie games and shit. Ugh!
