Nintendo ditches Tokyo Game Show? [Update 1]
Taking a quick glance at the list of attendees for September's Tokyo Game Show will show that Nintendo, for the second year in a row, will not have a significant showing of playable games. This is odd, considering that we're supposed to hear word on release and price for the Wii in that same month, and also with the [Update: Clarified some of the post's wording. Iwata is likely to show up and give a speech -- there just won't be a giant Nintendo booth.]

Second year in a row? I thought that's where they showed off the controller last year.

Maybe they will silently push it out the back door and we'll be taken by surprise.SO in the past two or three days they have said they will have a price and release date in September (which makes less sense now that they won't be tgs) i wonder if they'll just update there website on the sly.

Rumour is there's supposed to be another SpaceWorld in September where Nintendo will announce all their own stuff, including the announcement of price and date.

Uh what? It's not odd at all. Nintendo has never had a booth at TGS. Just having the keynote they had last year was a remarkable turnaround.

Nintendo is fameous for attending TGS, they revelaed the Wiimote there last year.
