Final Fantasy III's beautiful boxart

Boxart generally isn't interesting enough to post, but this beautiful work is obviously an exception to the rule. This is the final Japanese boxart for Final Fantasy III, the most anticipated DS title in Japan...and probably everywhere else, too. Though there's no confirmation, the visual style appears to match long-time Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano, who has completed numerous works for the series over the years.
Though we're quite loathe to say it, the handling of North American boxart tends to be a bit, ah...bungled. But what soulless, fiendish monster would replace such splendor? Final Fantasy III (and its amazing boxart) is scheduled for North American release on September 12th of this year.

I'm anxious to hear about some of the yet-to-be-announced "secret" jobs. Also, I agree: this game is going to be reason enough to own a DS.

An improvement over the lurid NES original:

It doesnt look that spectacular to me. Too plain and white. But JPN and NA box arts are usually on par with each other. With the exception of PAL boxarts looking lame.

I acutally don't see what's so great about it. But I guess it's nice to see some subtle stuff.
