Super Smash Bros. Brawl video
Featuring more farting, fireballs, pink balls, elite soldiers, mythological boys, portly plumbers and space bounty hunters than you can shake a motion-sensing stick at, this video footage of Super Smash Bros. Brawl demands to be watched immediately. It's strange that Nintendo didn't blow the audience away with this during their initial press conference, but trite old sayings tell us that getting it now is much better than not getting it at all. Thank goodness for those.

No, it just means that Snake is a playable character in the new SSB game.

Yep. Nintendo wins this year's E3 again, solely on this video.
Good game everyone else. You put up a good fight, but alas, Nintendo wins... again.
Choitz @ May 11th 2006 1:22PM
Oh. My. Freakin. Word.
This game is going to blow everything clear outta the water now. I can already see us having to use the wiimote to aim our attacks up or down, or scooping up the items and throwing them with accuracy.
This is going to be so awsome!! I'm really wanting this game now!
And for those who said it was going to be Super Smash Bros Wii, I really hope you're eating your words right now.
digitalFrequency @ May 11th 2006 3:10PM
alright that's it... i want that game and the new nintendo. online mode? hell fricking yeah! i just hope it turns out to be a good online experience.
and i really hope they don't do anything risky with this one. i'd rather have them just update the graphics/roster/etc than try to do something "innovative". they are sticky to classic control through rather than utilizing the wii-mote... kudos on that one.
Cosmos @ May 11th 2006 3:23PM
The video was great, and the game is going to be incredible. I think Nintendo left it out of their press conference because the game will not take advantage of the remote's unique abilities. They wanted everyone's focus to be the remote's unique abilities, so that they would have a chance to prove that it's fun and that it works.
It's just too bad that the game is going to be around during launch. We're going to have to wait until 2007 :(
greatslack @ May 11th 2006 3:50PM
hmm... quite the extravagant moves in this one
Marc @ May 11th 2006 3:52PM
Whoa....I think I speak for every guy when I say, Samus has a nice ass! :P

Matthew @ May 11th 2006 5:03PM
Sex, Super Smash Bros. Brawl... Same thing
Shaun @ May 11th 2006 5:16PM
I'm buying the Wii for sure now! I wonder how the Wiimote will work with it though...
digitalFrequency @ May 11th 2006 5:28PM
I believe standard control may be considered for this SSBB game rather than taking full advantage of the Wii-mote.
From Gamespot.com:
"Another question was presented to Sakurai. "How will Super Smash Bros. Brawl take advantage of the Wii controller?" The designer said he had been working with different ideas and had found that too much use of the controller's pointing and motion-sensor functions was not a good thing. He then dropped a hint, saying gamers may not want to throw away their old GameCube controllers, which the Wii supports. Sakurai then said he wants to support the console but offer something different from other Wii games."

Hmm, Those fancy ultimate moves look really time consuming and repititional, like the special attacks on Mario Tennis.
John @ May 11th 2006 6:50PM
hell to the yeah.
Freezair @ May 11th 2006 7:17PM
It is made of HECK and YEAH!
Must say, never expected Snake in there. Still, when you consider the fact that there's probably been more Metal Gear/Solid games on Nintendo systems total, starting with the original Metal Gear on NES, it kind of makes sense. Cardboard box = very amusing.
Samus using a melee weapon? Now there's something you don't see every day! Rock ON, gun/laser sword!
NekoTsukimi @ May 11th 2006 7:42PM
The single most amazing thing I've seen to come out of E3. It's just... so perfect. 2007 better hurry!
Elmer @ May 11th 2006 8:08PM
This Video is so amazing I cant close my mouth because I in so much aww and I keep playing it over and over its so great!!
PS:did you see what Link did to mario I wonder is that a In-game Move like the part where he kept slashing him not the Flying/Dashing part
Shiro @ May 11th 2006 9:43PM
"that'll b my 1st wii game 4 sure"
Unless you plan on buying your first Wii game in 2007, then no. It won't be.
"I can already see us having to use the wiimote to aim our attacks up or down, or scooping up the items and throwing them with accuracy."
Nope. This game is not going to use motion sensers. It'll be either used on the gamecube controllers or the Classic style add-on to the remote. The reason is that, apparently, the motion sensers "interfered with gameplay" or something. But no. They believe they already have a perfect control style.
"Yep. Nintendo wins this year's E3 again, solely on this video."
This, however, is a perfectly accurate statement. =D
M3taLWoLF @ May 11th 2006 10:44PM
I passed out during this video. It was too awesome. TOO AWESOME!!! Nintendo, thank you for the Samus in tights with a lightsaber....God knows its what I always wanted. Its like the Big N has been reading my diary...er...journal.

only one of the single greatest Nintendo characters of our time!! He's the main character from "Kid Icarus", an NES game. You can learn more about Kid Icarus here:
