DS Lite on June 11th [Update 1]

It appears that Nintendo is continuing with their trend of dropping their payload of destructive news pre-E3, with the latest being the long-awaited information on the DS Lite release in America. Taking place on June 11th, the price for the DS Lite is the very reasonable sum of "as low as" $129.99, implying that bundles will be available, however American gamers will only be able to acquire the handheld in Polar White initially, with other color varieties to follow in the coming months after release. The DS Lite, whose smaller size and weight than that of the original DS, along with improved screen brightness that rivals the computer monitor you're using to read this post, was a huge hit in Japan, selling like cakes of the hottest variety.

I have not seen anybody address this point before... Your wifi games are tied to the Wifi ID of your DS. If you buy and switch to the Lite, don't all your records and such get screwed up??

Hmm finally sold my PSP today and I've really been thinking about getting one of these. I wish it were coming out sooner but I suppose I can hold off for another month.

You can transfer your wi-fi profiles from your old ds to your new one, unless of course you use it as trade in.

Marc, what? That's just a quote from some webcomic in which Yamauchi was saying exactly that, but instead of "DS Phats", he was saying "Nintendo fanboys"...Or something like that.
That was at the announcement of Wii's name.

I'm so exicted!It looks sexier than the PSP to me!After all the things I read like the:Opera web browser,IBM Via Voice commands on browser,also it will also be a phone I reccently read today,brighter screens, and longer battery,Sony has no chance!No longer will PSP fanboys throw multi media in our face!I'm proud of being a Nintendo fan boy!Plus theres even more but you have to find my information source.Plus the DS already beats the PSP in games.Now in design,screens,brightness,media,and even functions!It also beats PSP in design because no design flaws.I say it's worth the wait!!!

I like my DS Lite a lot (it's currently all about Age of Empires and Animal Crossing), but it's not going to take the multimedia or screen quality title away from the PSP, nor does it make me want to throw my PSP in the trash. Browsing in the DS will cost you & the screen(s) won't show much of your average websites -- though the stylus/keyboard is an advantage.
The better games argument is valid, but it's not like the PSP lacks any good games, and according to some sites (like metacritic, the overall score site), it has more higher rated titles than the DS, so... Be a fanboy, but be a rational fanboy.
