Rayman sequel announced for holiday 2006 release

OK, you might want to sit down for this one. Wait...you already read the title? You also sit at your computer checking this page? OK, I get it. It was a bad joke. I'm sorry.

Yet, the recent announcement of a Rayman sequel, one being head up by Ubisoft's Montpellier studio, who is helmed by franchise creator Michel Ancel, doesn't necessarily come as a shock due to the leaked list of upcoming titles from Ubi that Eurogamer already ran. Ancel, whom you're obligated to call Sir, has one excellent track record in the industry, so this latest installment in the franchise should be a treat. In coming to the next generation of consoles, we anxiously await what ways in which Michel and his team will utilize the Revolution's unique control scheme.
