Twilight Princess to be "magical" on Revolution

Since we've danced about this issue with Reggie before, we feel that we're quite familiar with the steps by now. This EGM interview scan shows Reggie strongly alluding to some Revolution enhancements to what is undoubtedly Nintendo's flagship title for this generation. In fact, the only thing missing here is wanton winking and a mildly painful elbow jab to the rib. C'mon, just admit it!
It seems that Nintendo's marketing cyborg is the only one that doesn't blatantly exclaim what a great idea it is to make the massively anticipated (and delayed) Twilight Princess a pseudo-launch title for the Revolution. It's sure to satisfy Gamecube fans staring at all the blank spaces on their console's release list, and it's just the kind of powerful franchise a launching console needs to usher in its capabilities and ideals. As the man says: Any Nintendo fan would love to see that.

I hope it's as magical as the way he's hinting it to us lol. Honestly, I've never been hooked to Zelda but Twilight Princess seems to be the best place for me to start :) Dont' you think so?

Well, if there is a place to start, Twilight princess would be a good place, but while you wait for it to come out, play either ocarina of time or link to the past on emulators. They are definately worth checking out.

I still can't take this as proof that the game will have Revolution functionality, since it's not stated directly, and so many things are always blown way out of proportion.

I think Reggie needs to get his stroy straight because in the engadget interview that just got posted he disagrees with his ow statements.
" Speaking of GameCube, if you play a GameCube game on the new Revolution console, will you be able to use the Revolution controller or will you have to use the older style of controller?
Well, all of the GameCube games will be compatible only with GameCube accessories, so whether its a WaveBird or whether its a wired controller, youll only be able to play those titles with those accessories. Essentially what were saying is that Revolution titles are the only ones that will leverage the new controller."
Now I really hope that he was telling the truth in the EGM article because when I read it Zelda was the first thing to come to mind, but I wouldn't get to excited untill conformations come around during E3.

Does it realy matter. I will buy a revolution and a copy of Zelda anyway. I would rather use the revolution.
As far as getting started with Zelda, I just started a few months ago. I saw how cheap gamecubes had gotten (I havent owned a console since SegaCD went out of style), and bought one. I love it. Zelda Wind Waker is definatly the way to start. It may look cute (I think the look is brilliant, and beautiful), but it is simply the best game in the as far as gameplay and control are concerned. After beating it, I wanted more. I read a lot about Ocarina of Time, so picked up the collectors edition Zelda disc for the gamecube (I know retailers are not suppose to sell it, but they do), and I am almost done with Ocarina of Time. It is cool, and for its time, amazing, but it is no Wind Waker. I feel it is over hyped, and impossible without a book. WindWaker was a solid game with no guide nessisary to complete it. I just loved to see link dance when he beat a boss. my 2 cents. Now tear me apart.

It would seem that Nintendo's best bet would be to release for both consoles on the same disk with Revmote capabilities. So then essentially, if you were a Gamecube owner, you could still get a game designed from the ground up for your console, or if you owned a Rev, you could use the added functionality of the Revmote. The graphics wouldn't change at all, just the play control as an option.
I don't know much about how they could program it, but I can't see it being a huge add-on in terms of size taken up on the disk.. just code to check the system (very small) and then apply changes of text, and input configuration (also relatively small).

Yeah the thing is, I will have a Rev. close to the time Zelda come out, so I will just play it on the Rev. anyway, no bug deal.
