DS Lite secrets to be unveiled tonight/tomorrow

As we reported last week, Nintendo is scheduled to hold a new DS Lite press conference tomorrow.
What wonders does Mr. Iwata have in store for us this time? Several sites are reporting that the DS Lite has a few surprises left in it. In particular, there is supposedly one bombshell left to come. The DS momentum machine rolls on!
Start looking for word to leak out sometime in the middle of the night as the conference is scheduled for 2:30 pm in Japan on February 15th (in fact, it's already February 15th there right now).
Any DS Fanboys want to make any last minute predictions?

Can't Wait! I predict a pre-installed web browser.
dwarpdesign @ Feb 14th 2006 8:09PM
It prints money !

It Prints Money AND has a pre-installed Web Browser!
Cyberclaws @ Feb 14th 2006 8:24PM
Seriously though, VoIP and maybe even a little camera to go with it?
Covarr @ Feb 14th 2006 8:26PM
Scans of the instruction manual are already up; we got them with those yellowed photos from the FCC. Any surprise would have to be in there, unless it's a bundled game at a lower price than the current DS, or something like that.
bill&ben @ Feb 14th 2006 8:44PM
Hmmmm Yes i hope the price tag starts cheaper not what the original price was and drop the price of the original
Also maybe an update to picto chat!
jp @ Feb 14th 2006 8:50PM
It'll have a tiny motion sensor built-in, allowing it to be used as a wireless Revolution controller.
Cosmos @ Feb 14th 2006 9:43PM
I bet it has something to do with the GBA "filler" cartridge. If it was just a "filler," it wouldn't need the trademark Nintendo screw because it would be made from a single mold. Maybe it's some kind of memory card.
Built-in WiFi PictoChat seems likely, too.
MariomanDS @ Feb 14th 2006 10:35PM
My Prodictions:
1) I bet they roll out a head set to be used with games like Metroid Prime Hunters During Chats in the game
2) I thing that they're rolling out the new port to recarge the unit not just for size, i think it'll conect to PC's via USB 2.0 and alow some midia content like video, music and pictures on black DS cards you could buy.
3) I hope Mac compatible software for the Wifi USB adapter.
4) Other accesories
5) unveial some new games (Most Likly of my 5)

DSAdvanced is claiming to have caught wind of the leaks, which include a web browswer and a new, high-profile game.

imagine this:
full support of the Nintendo Revolution Virtual console via flash memory; how amazing would that be? Obviously that isn't it since there is no flash memory though...
MariomanDS @ Feb 14th 2006 10:53PM
What I hope Will Happen
1) VoiP Support built in and head set mic to be used with it and games
2) Built in Web browser Based off Firefox technology (Probaby not Fire Fox unfrtouantly)
3) New Games Revield
4)Media Capibilities
5) TV Tuner
6) Several Attachments Including Camera,Moution Sensor
and others
7) The Ability to use it as a Revolution contoler
8) Updated OS which includes new features including the above web browser
9) Updated Picto Chat and ability to use WiFi
10) Ability to Make pictures on unit and save them
11) Mac and PC conectibility
12) Mac support for nintendo USB wifi adapter.
Most if none of these things will happen but a guy can hope

and the serect is the top screen is a touch screen also.... by the looks of things how the top screen is indented to stop the stylus when at the edge.
Ar?GoW] @ Feb 14th 2006 11:21PM
I believe that the DS Lite's dust protecter is in fact a bomb which will deploy if in a 15 foot radius of any Xbox, Xbox 360, PSX, PS2, PSP, and or PS3. That is my prediction ^_^.
Shade @ Feb 14th 2006 11:22PM

The reason for the Twilight Princess's delay was so they could port it to the DS.....
ed @ Feb 15th 2006 1:02AM
the lite would probably include a self-destruct button in case it sucks like the DS

Uumm... are you forgetting the DS Download Play?

"the lite would probably include a self-destruct button in case it sucks like the DS"
Oh yeah, like the one on the PSP! Wrong forum, buddy.
It HAS to be a web browser or online Pictochat, what else? Either way, they'll come up with something good.
Ryan @ Feb 15th 2006 1:52AM
The DS Advanced has confirmed the announcement... Web browser, New Mario Bros., TV Tuner, etc:

Wow. I thought the web browser was a longshot and didn't even take the TV tuner rumor seriously. But wow.
Sad the TV card might not make it to the US, but I'd be happy with the web broswer. I've never had any real complaints with Opera.
Here's is Opera's press release of the announcement: (http://opera.com/pressreleases/en/2006/02/15/)
Can't wait for the North American details.
Shane @ Feb 15th 2006 4:36AM
Maybe they will make it so the DS can be plugged into the Revolution to play DS games on your big tv?
Maybe they will include the motion sensors that would normally take up the GB slot.
