DS as a remote computer desktop
Wow, the homebrew community is
steamrolling their way through DS features this month. In fact, they've already examined said steamroller, disassembled
it and converted into a much a more useful helicopter that drops Wi-Fi enabled cinder blocks on targets selected from
your DS screen. Probably.So, we've seen the wardriving and the wireless games controllers, but how about the remote desktop viewers? Using the PointyRemote homebrew application, you can view your computer's desktop on your DS screen and, of course, operate your programs with the touch screen and the stylus. Essentially, your DS will display whatever's on your computer monitor at the time and it will allow you to click on icons, enter text and even zoom in on parts of the screen. We rather like the idea of playing some music on your PC, sitting back on the couch and adjusting the volume or skipping through tracks using our trusty portable. Next, could somebody from the homebrew community get started on a DS that controls minds? That would be great, thanks.

The DS Browser cant be done yet, until Stephen finishes the TCP Stack.
However with this application (or Win2DS as Ludwig failed to mention (I sent it in a different news tip)), you can use your laptop to browse, and see the results on the NDS.
Its the closest you can get to an NDS web browser for now.

Heres a possible use. Remote control for a personal video recorder (home built Tivo). Damn thatd be cool!

Is there a site out there that:
1. Explains the differences of all the cards you can get
2. What card the homebrew community uses/recommends
3. Layman's terms on getting this stuff running and different emulators...
If anybody knows please post here to enlighten me, #3, #4, and anyone else who reads the comment for this post...

Regarding the Mind control thingie...
My DS already takes most of my mind, so Im sure thats done already.
Now about how to run homebrew...
First of all, you need to buy stuff, you'll need either a Passme device (google it), a PassKey (google it) and something to store the programs (GBA MP is around 20 dlls in ebay), theres also more expensive solutions such as M3, but get a better job done.
Finally, if you already have a Ralink Wireless card in your laptop or desktop (Note: Wireless card, not USB thingamajig), that has chipset 2500 (or 2560), you can change the drivers for some others found at Aaron Roger's webpage (again, google is your friend).
Now that everything is that, you'll need to flash your Nintendo DS, which could end up bricking it if youre clumsy or scared.
If you are actually reading up to this point, or you're _really_ interested (and is willing to pay for the equipment needed), ill gladly help you out.

So you have to get a flash-card in order to let it work? Since i only got a network card and the only thing that works via that are game-demo's (like polarium/meteos etc..)

Get a Supercard (and superpass2) or an M3. Pepsiman says the Supercard is the best choice for DSLinux. The M3 runs some GBA stuff better, and has somewhat better video support, although it's best just to use moonshell on either cart.

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO SET THIS UP i downloaded it and and i don't know what to do is there a game pack or am i supposed use it do i use DS download play CAN SOME ONE PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME!
