Screenshots: Cooking Mama

First screenshots via Famitsu have emerged for the previously announced DS cooking game entitled Cooking Mama. No details on how the touch interface will work, but take a look at some of the shots. Anyone interested?

Totally interested. A cooking game can be just as addictive as Harvest Moon or Nintendogs without being a true game. And I think a cooking game could only work with a touch screen. Chopping food, flipping burgers. I just hope this makes it stateside. Mmmm, I can already smell the fresh grilled cheese.

Hell yes I'm interested! After playing an import of CoCoBon (a cooking game for the PS2) I'm all about cooking simulations. I more or less believe that any kind of cooking game involving the Revolution and a wok will HAVE to be one of the best things in the world, but I'll settle for a DS version sooner.
I really hope they can do something that allows you to create your own dishes to see how they turn out. Considering how much I want to learn about real cooking, virtual cheffery (doubt that's a word...) is something I'd love to take part in.

I played a game called "Ore No Ryori" (My Cooking) awhile back for PS1 that made really innovative use of the dual analog sticks to control Chopping, Pouring, Deep-frying, etc. It was one of the most interesting and fun controls schemes I've ever played.
Here's to "Cooking Mama" being even that much better!

If it's anywhere close to being as entertaining as Trauma Center, I'm definitely getting it. It certainly seems more interesting than most of the other games in the works. This is why I wanted a DS: It just has completely different kinds of games.
